The Turtle Creek Valley Council of Governments was honored to attend the signing of Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato’s ACT NOW Executive Order.

We appreciated hearing from leaders across government, industry, education, and labor about innovation, workforce development, and the future of our region.

In a bid to recruit more clean tech businesses to Allegheny County, and support those that already exist here, county Executive Sara Innamorato signed an executive order on Thursday establishing a strategic action team to guide public investments in these sectors.

Dubbed the ACT NOW task force, which stands for Advancing Clean Technology for Neighborhood & Nextgeneration Opportunity and Workforce, its members will be announced in the coming weeks and their first recommendations will be due in six months.

📣 🎉 The Pre‑Application Period is now open for PennDOT’s Automated Red Light Enforcement (ARLE) Funding Program, which reinvests net revenue from automated red‑light and speed‑enforcement violations into low‑cost, high‑impact safety and mobility projects across Pennsylvania.

Eligible applicants include local governments, planning organizations, and Commonwealth agencies. Eligible applicants can pursue improvements such as pedestrian and bicycle safety upgrades, traffic‑signal modernization, roadway safety enhancements, and multimodal connections.

Applicants must submit the ARLE Pre‑Application Scoping Form to ensure project concepts align with program goals and safety outcomes.

What an incredible time at the ALOM Seven Springs Spring Educational Conference!
