Our Fire Marshal's Office is sharing these safety messages specific to lithium batteries at today's Household Hazardous Waste Event:

✅ Use approved chargers.
✅ Charge on hard surfaces.
✅ Unplug when full.
❌ Don't charge unattended.
❌ Never put lithium batteries in the trash.

Lithium batteries require special disposal due to fire risk. Household quantities of lithium batteries are accepted as part of our Electronics Recycling program; they are not accepted at today's event.

Dolly wrote "Color Me America" on September 12, 2001, the day after.

She premiered it live that December and then held it there. No single, no album, nothing to buy. She said she would only perform it because she did not want to be seen profiting off what happened.

She kept that for two years. In June of 2003, it became the closing number at her Stampede dinner show. The studio version finally came out in November of that year on For God and Country.

Two years is a long time to sit on a song.
