- I would add that I'm proud of the work we did. We won in Easton, where people know me and my capabilities and values best, and we lost in Trumbull by only 29 votes. In the end, the crimson tide in Monroe was too much to take on, this year in particular.

But still, as a woman, age 65, new to politics and never having held any government role, taking on a male incumbent from Monroe, in a "red" district - it was fine.
We can all hold our heads up very high on this one. Onwards and upwards!
