Nutritional groceries for one-week are provided to Union County residents in crisis; with proper referral, up to three times in a 12-month period. ...OUR PURPOSE...
To furnish an emergency supply of food to people
in need of Union County, NC on a one-time basis.
..SERVICE WE PROVIDE...
A one-week supply of food is given to meet emergency needs. The food supplied is nutritionally balanced and is suitable for home preparation.
..SOURCE OF REFERRAL CLIENTS...
Human service agencies and religious agencies of Union County screen applicants and makes referrals. Food is given upon written certification of need from approved agencies.

PSA from Union County Community Support and Outreach: The start of a new school year is just around the corner, but is your child ready to return to school? According to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human services over 35,000 NC kindergarteners were behind on their required immunizations between 2020 and 2021. Let’s help them catch up!

PSA: to help prepare our youngest community members start the year off right Prosperous Revival Temple (4711 Old Charlotte Highway, Monroe, NC) will be hosting a Back-to-School Yard Sale this Saturday, August 20 from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

There will be free backpacks (while supplies last), clothes for the entire family, and other household items. For more details, see attached flyer.

PSA: The new 988 Su***de and Crisis Lifeline, previously known as the National Su***de Prevention Hotline, provides services to those that are facing a mental health crisis and are looking for emotional support. Recent changes to the Lifeline aim to make their services available simpler and to a wider range of individuals seeking assistance.

The Lifeline provides free and confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to anyone in su***de crisis or emotional distress. Services are provided in English and Spanish.

If you or anyone that you know are in emotional distress please call 988 or visit https://988lifeline.org/ to chat with a Lifeline team member.

Bread - loaves of white, wheat, light/healthy calories
Eggs - by the dozen
Mixed Fruit - 15.25 oz. cans
Juice - 64 oz. bottles
Pasta Sauce - 24 oz. cans or plastic jars
Apple Sauce - 24 oz. plastic jars
Soup (Light/Low Sodium preferred) - 10.5 oz. or 19 oz. cans
Canned Tomatoes (chopped or crushed) - 14.5 oz. cans
Canned Tomato Sauce
Canned Tuna and/or Salmon, 6 oz. cans
Mac & Cheese, 16 oz. boxes
Rice - white or brown, 16 oz. bags or boxed
Flour (All Purpose) - 2 or 5 lb. bags
Sugar (granulated) - 4 lb. bags
Saltine Crackers - 1 lb. boxes
Cereal, 12 - 24 oz. boxes
Grits, 24 oz. boxes or individual packs/boxed
Cooking Oil - canola, olive oil, 64 oz. bottles
