Love in Action starts with community. 💙

A special thank you to Chase Bank for hosting the first soft launch of our Love in Action: Ready2Learn Hygiene Kit Drive!

Together, we’re working to ensure students across our 12-parish region have access to essential hygiene products that support their health, confidence, and success in the classroom.

When we come together to meet basic needs, we create opportunities for every student to learn, grow, and thrive. Join us as we turn compassion into action and show students across Northeast Louisiana that their community is behind them.

We were honored to join our friends at United Way of Southeast Louisiana for their Annual Meeting & United Awards celebration in New Orleans, recognizing the incredible work being done across their community. UWNELA was proud to be represented by Kim Lowery and Meghan Jones as we connected with partners and colleagues from across the state, including Louisiana Association of United Ways President & CEO Sarah Berthelot and our friend Michael Williamson of UWSELA.

We are grateful to be part of such a strong network of Louisiana United Ways, united in our commitment to strengthening communities and improving lives throughout our state. Thank you to the entire UWSELA team for your hospitality and for an inspiring morning of celebration, collaboration, and connection. 💙

Members of our Advancement & External Affairs team were proud to attend the Eyes on the Ark-La-Miss Weather Camera Network Ribbon Cutting hosted by Digital Weather Desk. This exciting addition strengthens access to real-time weather information and helps keep our communities informed and prepared.

We appreciate the opportunity to celebrate this milestone alongside local leaders, partners, and businesses who continue investing in the safety and connectivity of Northeast Louisiana. Congratulations to Chief Meteorologist Jarod Floyd with the Digital Weather Desk on this achievement!

This week, we welcomed our 2026 Campaign Cabinet members for orientation as we begin planning for another impactful year of serving Northeast Louisiana.

During the session, cabinet members reviewed campaign insights, explored opportunities for community engagement, and participated in strategic discussions focused on strengthening relationships, identifying new donor opportunities, and expanding our collective impact.

We’re especially grateful to our 2026 Campaign Co-Chairs, Amanda Edge of Entergy Louisiana and Chris Holtzclaw of Argent Financial Group, for their leadership and commitment as they help guide this year’s campaign.

We’re also thankful for the dedicated leaders who have stepped forward to serve on the Campaign Cabinet. Their expertise, passion, and commitment to our community will play a vital role in advancing our mission and creating meaningful change across our region.

Together, we’re building a stronger Northeast Louisiana.

You see ALICE every day — but you might not know it.

Workers who are ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) care for children, check out groceries, cook meals, and help with everyday banking needs. Even beyond the workplace, ALICE shows up for our communities across civic, social, cultural, religious, and recreational spaces. And yet, ALICE struggles to get by, with income above the Federal Poverty Level but less than the cost of basics in their parishes.

ALICE is everywhere. Let’s make sure ALICE is seen. Explore our new Report, The in Louisiana, in partnership with : UnitedForALICE.org/Louisiana

Today, members of our Advancement & External Affairs team joined colleagues from across the state for the Louisiana Association of United Ways (LAUW) Exchange Day in Alexandria.

The day was filled with valuable conversations and learning opportunities focused on marketing and communications, including storytelling best practices, brand strategy, media relations, and cross-functional collaboration. We were especially proud to have our own Meghan Jones serve as a presenter, leading a session on storytelling best practices and the importance of moving from data to dignity in the stories we share.

Most importantly, the day provided an opportunity to connect with fellow United Way professionals, exchange ideas, and learn from one another as we work to better serve our communities.

We’re grateful to LAUW for bringing together United Ways from across Louisiana to strengthen partnerships, share knowledge, and continue building our collective impact. Together, we are finding new ways to inform, inspire, and create lasting change.

Fun Friday Moment! 👕

Looks like great minds think alike! 😄

Several of our 211 team members showed up today wearing the same "United Is The Way" t-shirt—completely unplanned! 💙

Whether answering calls, connecting people to resources, or accidentally coordinating our wardrobes, our team is always united in serving our community.

United is the way... and apparently today's dress code, too! 😂
