Maybe they’re already mowing lawns, baking cakes, detailing cars, designing T-shirts, making jewelry, taking photos, creating content—or constantly talking about the business they want to start someday.

FLEX could be their next step!

FLEX gives Walton County students in grades 9–12 the opportunity to DREAM IT. BUILD IT. FLEX IT. while gaining real-world entrepreneurial experience.

🎓 STUDENTS: Have an idea? This is your chance to turn it into a REAL business, make REAL money, meet local business leaders, build your résumé, and compete!

👩‍🏫 TEACHERS: You know the students with that entrepreneurial spark. Encourage them to apply! A teacher signature is required on each application, so you have an important role in helping us find our next young entrepreneurs.

👨‍👩‍👧 PARENTS: Does your student have an idea, a side hustle, or an interest in business? Encourage them to take a chance and see where it can go! A parent signature is also required on the application.

✨ Sometimes a young person just needs someone to say, “You should do this!”

What is FLEX?

FLEX is a community-driven entrepreneurship program that inspires high school students to think like business owners by turning their ideas into real businesses.

Throughout the competition, students build and grow their businesses while participating in hands-on workshops, networking with local business leaders, making sales, and competing in three exciting rounds of competition. The final local round features a "Shark Tank"-style pitch to a panel of judges, where teams compete for prizes of up to $2,500.

Local champions then advance to the FLEX State Finals to compete for the title of FLEX State Champion.

The Walton County Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with FLEX to help students develop confidence, leadership skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset while creating a stronger future for our community.
