🎉 Celebrating Two Years of Impact! 🎉

Today we're recognizing Jami Cash on her two-year anniversary with Walton Works and the Development Authority of Walton County.

In just two years, Jami has played a key role in strengthening connections between education, workforce development, and industry. From innovative student engagement initiatives and career exploration resources to educator externships and community partnerships, her work has helped showcase the opportunities that make Walton County a great place to live, work, and build a future.

We're grateful for her creativity, enthusiasm, and dedication to our mission—and we're excited to see what she and Wixxel accomplish in the years ahead.

Today was a BIG day for Walton County. 🎉

We were proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Athens Technical College Walton Campus — an $18 million investment in the future of our community, our students, and our workforce.

This project represents years of vision, partnership, persistence, and belief in Walton County’s future. The expanded campus will create new opportunities for workforce training, access to higher education, and career pathways that directly support the needs of our growing industries and residents.

Walton Works and the Development Authority of Walton County are especially excited about what this means for talent development right here at home. From advanced manufacturing and healthcare to skilled trades and technical careers, this investment strengthens the pipeline connecting education to opportunity.

Congratulations to our local and state leaders, industry partners, and everyone who helped move this vision from idea to reality.

The future is being built in Walton County — and today, we literally broke ground on it. 🚜💙

Big moves for Walton students—literally. 🚜

Workforce development is happening now, and the future is already in motion.

Big things are moving for our students—literally.

Loganville High School seniors Austin Canales, Camden Sheridan, Jaden Cooley, and Levi Boothe made history as the first group to complete forklift operator training at Athens Technical College’s Monroe Campus.

Through a partnership with Walton County School District and the Walton County Development Authority, 27 seniors from Loganville, Monroe Area, and Walnut Grove High Schools are gaining hands-on experience and industry-ready skills for careers in manufacturing and warehousing.

This program is opening doors and creating real pathways from the classroom to the workforce.

Proud to see partnerships like this creating meaningful opportunities for students right here in Walton County.

Thank you, Stanton Springs Data Center, for continuing to invest in experiences that help connect education to the real world. When students get hands-on exposure to how businesses operate, it builds confidence, curiosity, and a stronger pipeline for our future workforce.

This is exactly the kind of impact that moves our community forward—and we’re grateful to be part of it. 💼✨
