NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸💔

This September 11, we gather not just to remember a moment in history, but to honor the incredible sacrifice of the 412 first responders who lost their lives on that fateful day:
🚒 343 FDNY Firefighters
👮‍♂️ 23 NYPD Officers
🗽 37 Port Authority Police Officers
🚑 8 EMTs/Paramedics
🏢 1 New York Fire Patrol Officer

Their bravery in the face of unimaginable terror will never be forgotten. We also hold space for the thousands more who continue to battle illnesses linked to their work at Ground Zero.

To pay tribute to these fallen heroes and their ultimate sacrifice, Spartan Stadium is hosting a 9/11 Remembrance Bleacher Climb. 🏛️🛡️
This is more than just a workout; it is a solemn physical tribute to the firefighters and police officers who ran into danger. Let’s come together as a community, show our Spartan strength, and ensure their memory lives on.

🗓️ No School Monday: Enjoy Labor Day! We will see everyone back on campus on Tuesday, September 8th.

🎓 Senior College Info Night: Wednesday, September 9th, at 6:00 PM in the auditorium.

🇺🇸 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb: Join our staff this Friday, September 11th, at 7:00 AM in the stadium to honor victims and first responders.

⏰ Be on Time: School starts promptly at 8:10 AM. Late arrivals to school or class will result in lunch detention.

🤝 Booster Club Volunteers: Parents of student-athletes must sign up for at least one volunteer shift with their coach to maintain student athletic eligibility.

🏈 GAME DAY IN THE VALLEY! 🏈

It’s time to pack the stands and bring the energy! To ensure a safe, fun, and seamless game day experience for everyone, please keep the following Union County Public Schools (UCPS) safety protocols in mind before you head out:

Clear Bag Policy: Only clear bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” are permitted. (Note: Medical and baby bags are allowed but subject to search).

Supervision Required: Middle and elementary school students must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older to enter.

Ticket Cut-off: All ticket sales end promptly at halftime (or the midpoint of the event).

Body Scanners: UCPS will be utilizing body scanners at entry points in consultation with local law enforcement.
