đźš’ Stack Road Volunteer Fire Department đźš’

Today, our crews responded to a field fire caused by dry conditions and an electric fence. While we did receive a small amount of rain recently, it has not been enough to significantly reduce the risk of fires in our area.

Conditions remain dry, and it doesn’t take much—a spark, exposed wire, or equipment—to start a fire that can quickly spread.

We want to remind everyone to please stay mindful and aware:
🔥 Be cautious when using equipment or anything that could produce sparks
🔥 Regularly check electric fences and outdoor wiring
🔥 Do not burn debris until the burn ban is lifted
🔥 Report any signs of smoke or fire immediately

Even small precautions can make a big difference in keeping our community safe. Thank you for doing your part.

Stay safe,
Stack Road Volunteer Fire Department

🚫🔥 Burn Ban Still in Effect — Even With Recent Light Rain 🔥🚫

A reminder to all residents: the burn ban issued by the N.C. Forest Service remains in effect until further notice.

Even with the small amount of recent rain, dry and windy conditions persist, and the risk of wildfires remains extremely high. For everyone’s safety, all open burning is strictly prohibited at this time. This includes burning yard debris, trash, and any type of outdoor fire.

🚨 What this means:
• No open burning of any kind
• Violations may result in fines or penalties

Protecting our community is our top priority. Please continue to follow this order and stay alert.

If you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately.

We will share updates as conditions change. Thank you for doing your part to keep our community safe.

Please like and share this post to get the word out.

Stay safe,
Stack Road Fire Department

We’re proud to be out at the Union County Farm Show and Festival connecting with our community, sharing what we do, and meeting the people we serve every day. Events like this remind us just how strong our community is—and how important it is to look out for one another.

Our department is volunteer-based, and we rely on dedicated individuals who are willing to step up and answer the call when emergencies happen. Right now many volunteer departments, like ours, need more helping hands. Whether you’re interested in firefighting, support roles, or just want to give back, there’s a place for you within your local Volunteer Fire Department.

No experience? No problem. Volunteer Fire Departments provide training, gear, and a supportive environment—you just bring the commitment and willingness to serve.

If you’ve ever thought about making a difference, protecting your neighbors, and being part of something bigger than yourself, now is the time.

Stop by and talk with us at the Farm Show—we’d love to meet you and answer any questions!

🚨 Road Conditions Update – Please Read 🚨

Due to the continuous snowfall, road conditions are continually getting worse. We are asking everyone to please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.

Emergency crews are working hard, but the worsening conditions make travel dangerous for both the public and first responders. If you do not need to be out, please stay home and stay safe.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to monitor conditions.
