Sky Valley Food Bank "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" Established in 1976 to provide food to those in need, preserving the dignity of those we help.

Our Shopping distributions are Tuesdays from 2:30pm-5:00pm, and Thursdays from 9:00am-11:00am, by appointment only. You can make an appointment a week in advance by visiting our website: www.svfoodbank.org and clicking "Find Food."

Today we are excited to launch a new campaign that will help us better serve our community!

We're kicking off our 'Feeding Families Around the Clock' campaign, an initiative that will bring refrigerated food lockers to our site, providing 24/7 access to nutritious food for those in need. Imagine an Amazon-style locker system, but instead of packages, they are stocked with fresh produce, dairy, meat, and essentials, accessible at a time that suits each family's schedule. Families will be able to choose food from a menu and select a 12-hour pickup window that works best for them. We know our hours of operation don’t work for every household. This innovative approach will enable us to support over 100 more families weekly. To make this vision a reality, we're counting on your support.

With that, thanks to a generous donor, every donation made between now and the end of the month will be matched up to $5,000, doubling your impact in bringing hope and sustenance to our community. As the school year concludes, we're reflecting on the remarkable success of this year's Weekend Food Pack program, driven by the dedication of an extraordinary team of volunteers and the generosity of our donors. Together, we delivered 6,794 bags totaling 34,860 pounds of food to multiple schools across the district, including Frank Wagner, Sky Valley Education Center, Park Place Middle School, Fryelands Elementary, Chain Lake Elementary, Salem Woods Elementary, and Monroe High School. This achievement underscores the power of community and highlights the impact that passionate individuals can have when working together towards a common goal. We're grateful for the tireless efforts of our volunteers and the ongoing support of our donors, and we look forward to building on this momentum in the 2026-2027 school year.

We are thrilled to extend our congratulations to the MHS Class of 2026 as they prepare to take the stage at Angel of the Winds arena tonight, marking a triumphant milestone in their journey as high school graduates! Special recognition goes out to these exceptional individuals who have dedicated their time to our food bank as volunteers and staff members: AJ, Caleb and Alec! Looking for a Warehouse Labor person. This is heavy and intense work. Lifting up to 50 pounds on regular basis. Load/unload food orders. Great customer service skills. Standing on concrete floors for the shifts. Clean driving record and ability to use pallet jack and drive vans.

Temporary job from June 22-August 28. Shift is Mon-Thur 830AM-1230 PM. Pay $18-19 hour. Must be 18.
