🔥 Burn Ban Notice – New York State 🔥

A reminder to all residents that there will be a state-wide burn ban in effect March 16th through May 14th.

During this time, open burning of brush and yard debris is prohibited to help prevent wildfires during the dry spring season.

As the snow melts and vegetation from last year dries out, fires can spread quickly and become dangerous for our communities and first responders.

✅ Allowed: Small cooking fires using charcoal or dry, seasoned firewood (under 3’ high, 4’ long)
❌ Not allowed: Burning brush, leaves, or yard debris

Please do your part to help keep our community safe this spring. If you see smoke or an unattended fire, report it immediately.

Stay safe and thank you for your cooperation. 🚒

Reminder from your local firehouse: Don’t forget to set your clocks one hour ahead this Saturday, March 7th before you go to bed!

Daylight Saving Time begins March 8th, which means we all lose an hour of sleep but gain more daylight in the evenings (it’s about time). 🌅

While you’re changing your clocks, it’s also a great time to:
🔥 Check and test your smoke alarms
🔋 Replace batteries if needed
🧯 Review your home fire escape plan with your family

A few minutes of prevention can make a big difference. Stay safe everyone!

We would like to take a moment to put a spotlight on two of our members for the past year they have dedicated their time to this company, the district and their community. We want to congratulate them on completion of the FF1 classes. We were proud to see them graduate from the Orange County Fire Training Center which the ceremonies were held in Sugar Loaf Performing Center yesterday. We are very proud of them for all their hard work they put in and wish them continued success in the fire service.
