Carroll Township police say a late-night prowler tried to force his way into several homes in the Craven Hill section before officers wrestled him into custody early Saturday.

There have been several black bear sightings this week in the Township. A bear was seen in the Isabelle St. area ( across RT 88 from Giant Eagle ) and also on Columbia Road. Bears are on the move this time of year, and always in search of a food source. If you see a bear keep a safe distance away, and please notify us of the location.
