Someone in your unit is having a harder week than they're letting on. It might be you.

You don't need the perfect words to help. SafeTALK and ASIST teach skills that work, how to notice when something's off, how to ask the question directly, and how to stay with someone until they're connected to real help. Asking someone whether they're thinking about su***de doesn't put the idea in their head. It opens a door to help.

Both trainings are open to active duty, reserve, civilian employees, and family members, and we're expanding where and how often they're offered so they reach you wherever you serve.

Take the training. Check on the person you've been meaning to check on.

Support is available 24/7. Reach resources at https://www.militaryonesource.mil/ or 800-342-9647.

Summer brings more paddlers to the the water, and a VHF radio keeps them safe. From a kayak, Channel 16 is your fastest way to call for help when something goes wrong. Cell service can fail - VHF doesn’t. Keep it clipped to your PFD and ready to use.
