The City of Monett, Monett Main Street, American Legion, Boy Scouts of America and Veterans of Foreign Wars will be celebrating the completion of the Freedom Silo Restoration Project and dedicating freedom Park at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14 at the future site of Freedom Park on Front Street. All are invited to bring chairs or blankets and help kick off Monett’s America 250 celebrations with a dedication of Freedom Park.

Last week, several staff members had the privilege of speaking with local youth through the Clark Center Youth Case Managers. This was a great opportunity to connect with them, allowing the youth to sit down and ask our staff questions about our profession and how to handle various situations.

Thank you to Clark Center for providing us this opportunity, and a shoutout to Cpl. Rice, Officer Lacey, and Cpl. Berry for being the speakers.

Utility Tree Trimming/Vegetation Management in Zone 5 will begin Monday, June 15. The City of Monett Utility Department provides a year around Utility Right of Way vegetation management. The city’s certified arborists maintain all City primary and City secondary lines. This service does not include homeowner's service drops. The city is broken up into 8 maintenance zones. Below is the map of each zone.
