Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

City staff have been made aware of a possible scam circulating in our area. Residents have been contacted by people claiming to be insurance inspectors requesting access to property to inspect for storm damage.
If community members suspect their property has suffered storm damage, they are encouraged to contact their insurance company and coordinate assessment and repairs.
No local, state or federal inspectors are currently assessing storm damage on private property in the Monett area.

Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Barry County in southwestern Missouri... Southern Lawrence County, until 1230 PM Monday. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas is ongoing.
