Training last night on extrication with our friends from Township Fire Station 5! Always an enjoyable night and we are continuously grateful for the support from Conrad's Auto Salvage, Inc. for donating a car and letting us make a mess in their yard year after year! Thank you!

On Friday, January 30th, Emergicare and Eau Claire Fire were dispatched to a residence in the Town of Pleasant Valley for an EMS call. This turned into a far more serious incident that could have affected the health and safety of first responders as well as the residents.

We would like to stress the importance of having functioning smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors in your homes, and that you make sure all intakes and exhausts are clear of obstruction.

With 2025 over we tallied a record number of calls for service with 54. Rock Creek Fire responded to 9 structure fires this year among many other types of emergencies.

A very large thank you to our members for their time committed to responding to calls for service and also the many hours at the fire station for trainings and meetings. We’d also like to thank the firefighters significant others for their support as we spend time away from home to serve the community!

If you have ever had any interest in helping to serve the community, please reach out to our page or any member for more information. We have a dedicated group, although thin, and could use more help in the years to come!

Last week, we were presented with an electric vehicle fire blanket from Hope Conrad as part of a project with girl scouts troop 3508! EV’s are continually becoming more common and these are a great tool to use to contain the fires. Thank you again for your donation to our fire department!

Great night of extrication training with our friends from Township Fire Department - Eau Claire, WI Brunswick station. Thank you to Conrad's Auto Salvage, Inc. for their generosity each year to supply us with a vehicle to practice with. We went through multiple scenarios of different places patients could be trapped and then lifting/ removing the vehicle to gain access or free the patient!

On Wednesday, August 13th, at 10:39 pm, the Rock Creek Fire Dept was dispatched to a shed fire on 939th st. Members responding to the station saw the shed fully involved and more resources were requested. Upon arrival the majority of the shed had collapsed. Once the fire was under control an excavator was brought in to move the sheets of steel so we could extinguish the final hot spots.

There were no injuries reported by residents or fire personnel. The shed and its contents are a total loss. The cause is under investigation but appears to be accidental.
