Happy Birthday to the VFW Auxiliary! Founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1914 as the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the organization proudly marks its 112th anniversary today.

For more than a century, Auxiliary members have stood beside our veterans and service members, supported their families, strengthened our communities, and helped ensure that the sacrifices of those who served our nation are never forgotten.

Today, we celebrate the generations of members who have dedicated their time, hearts, and talents to this mission—and the members who continue carrying that legacy of service forward.

112 years of service. 112 years of support. 112 years of making a difference.

Today, on Patriot Day, we honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, the first responders who ran toward danger, the families forever changed, and the service members who answered our nation’s call in the years that followed.

For those who witnessed that day, the memories remain vivid. For the generations who came after, it is our responsibility to ensure they understand the sacrifice, courage, and unity that defined our nation in the days that followed.

We remember the fallen. We honor the heroes. We will never forget.

25 YEARS. NEVER FORGOTTEN.

Twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001—but we still remember exactly what that day showed us about service, sacrifice, courage, and unity.

The VFW Post 9509 Auxiliary is offering a memorial T-shirt honoring those we lost, those who answered the call, and those who served in the years that followed.
