Planning a trip to Berkeley County Waterfront Park?

Just a heads up! Beginning at sunrise and continuing throughout the day on Tuesday, August 4, you may experience traffic delays and occasional stops when entering or leaving the park, due to construction.

Be sure to give yourself a little extra time and drive carefully through the area.

We are excited to announce Safety Around Water, a new partnership with the Cane Bay Family YMCA to bring water safety lessons to Moncks Corner!

This program starts NEXT WEEK and is designed to help children ages 3–15 build confidence and learn essential water safety and swimming skills for just $5.

Whether your child is new to the water or looking to strengthen their skills, Safety Around Water helps kids learn the skills they need to stay safer in and around the water.

🏖️ Know Before You Go

We want everyone to have a safe, fun, and enjoyable visit to Lions Beach at Berkeley County Waterfront Park. Please take a moment to review our beach rules before your visit:

🌊 Lifeguards are in complete control of the swimming area while on duty.
🌊 Swim only within the designated roped swimming area.
🌊 Stay off the d**e.
🌊 Berkeley County reserves the right to restrict use of the swimming area when necessary.
🚫 No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs.
🚫 No horseplay, foul language, or throwing sand.
🚫 Do not climb on or play on the buoys, boundary poles, ropes, or lifeguard stands.
👶 Children age 3 and under require hands-on adult supervision while in the water.
👨‍👩‍👧 Children age 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult on the beach and may not enter chest-deep water unless accompanied by an adult.
🔥 No grills, fires, picnic tables, or glass containers on the beach.
🐾 No pets allowed.

These rules are in place to help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. Thank you for doing your part to keep Lions Beach a fun destination for all!
