The dumpsters behind the community center were emptied on Thursday. Unfortunately, they were subsequently filled with household trash and yard debris. While we appreciate your efforts to clean up your property, please note that these dumpsters are exclusively for community center trash. As a reminder, you are responsible for disposing of your own trash properly. The community center has rented the building and the dumpsters are provided for the renters' use. Regrettably, your actions have created an issue for us. Please be advised that we have cameras on the premises and will review the footage to determine the responsible party and will send the corresponding bill.

Power Outage information. Power went out this morning at 8:07 AM. Power came back on in part of Thorntonville shortly after. If you still dont have power, this is the latest info available.
Message from ONCOR: Crews are continuing to assess damages in your area. Estimated time for power to return will be communicated as soon as possible.

Congratulations to the Town of Thortonville on the grand opening of their new city hall and community center today! I appreciate Thortonville Mayor Bryan Mann and City Secretary Yolanda Graves for showing me around the new facility this morning. Best of all, this is another debt-free building project for the local taxpayers in Ward County!
