Welsh Road, Fitterling Road, Sweitzer Road (top portion), Marsh Road, Kremp Road, Beech Road, Sell Road & Westley Road. Please find alternate routes during this time frame.

MEETING NOTICE

BRECKNOCK TOWNSHIP - Berks

Notice is hereby given that the Brecknock Township Board of Supervisors will hold the scheduled June 2nd, 2026, 7:00pm, meeting on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, at 4:00pm.

The meeting will be held at the Brecknock Township Municipal Building, 889 Alleghenyville Road, Mohnton, PA 19540 and are open to the public. Any changes to meeting dates or times will be posted on Township website.

Monday afternoon, June 1, at 2pm, and at numerous intervals throughout the day on Tuesday June 2, Limerick Clean Energy Center (nuclear power plant) will conduct a full volume test of its siren warning system inclusive of areas of SE Berks County. There is no cause for alarm and no action needs to be taken.

In an actual emergency, the sounding of these sirens is NOT A SIGNAL TO EVACUATE. It is a signal to tune TV/or radio to an Emergency Alert System provider and be attentive for directions from public safety authorities.

Please be advised that a Snow Emergency will go into effect for Brecknock Township, Berks County, on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 6am.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook starting at 6:00 am, Sunday, February 22, 2026. Parking on Snow Emergency Routes is prohibited. A violation of this ordinance can result in the vehicle being ticketed and/or towed. The emergency will be in effect from 6am Sunday, February 22, 2026 until 24 hours after snow fall has stopped.
