Today, the Rescue Engine proudly participated in the Mohnton and Shillington Memorial Day Parades as we joined our neighboring communities in honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Following the Shillington parade ceremonies, Lieutenant DeLynn High was recognized as Firefighter of the Year alongside other outstanding firefighters from the Mifflin area. We are incredibly proud of Lieutenant High for this well deserved honor and grateful for the dedication, leadership, and service shown both to our department and the community.

Please join us in congratulating Lieutenant High on this outstanding achievement!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the time, care, and unwavering support that Bruce Meck gave to our organization through his work with Berks Emergency Equipment. His dedication to serving those in emergency services was evident in every interaction, and his commitment made a lasting impact on our department and the community we serve.

Bruceโ€™s partnership meant far more than business. He understood the importance of what we do and consistently supported our mission with professionalism, generosity, and a genuine willingness to help. His contributions played a meaningful role in ensuring our members had the equipment and support needed to serve others safely.

We are especially grateful for the connection we share with his family, and our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time, particularly his brother, a valued member of our department.

Bruce will be remembered not only for the support he provided, but for the character, integrity, and kindness he brought to every relationship. His legacy will continue to be felt in the lives he touched and in the work he helped make possible.

With sincere appreciation and remembrance.
