Mayor James M. Baron Nestled in the beautiful Mohawk Valley, is the Village of Mohawk in Upstate New York.

The village officially became known as Mohawk in 1838 and was later incorporated on April 16, 1844. The Village of Mohawk is along the southern bank of the Erie Canal in Herkimer County.

Village of Mohawk Memorial Day Parade! Monday, May 25th; step off is at 9AM hosted by the Crowley-Barnum American Legion Post 25. Remember and honor all who served.
Parade begins at the Legion on West Main St, traveling East Main to Fulton, to Marshall, to Michigan, taking a left onto Columbia Street heading South to end at the Mohawk Cemetery.

Kwik-Kut food chopper production has ended in Mohawk after owner Mary Morse sold the longtime family business to Iowa-based Rada Cutlery. The product will remain American-made.

The annual Village of Mohawk's Memorial Day Parade steps off at 9 AM, Monday, May 25. All are welcome to participate. To participate, please contact American Legion Post 25 Commander Jason Harding at 518-775-0894. The parade concludes at the Mohawk Cemetery where a ceremony is held to honor our fallen veterans. We reconvene at the American Legion to lower and raise the colors followed by food for all inside the Legion. The parade route map is in the comments.
