The Modesto Irrigation District (MID), located in California's Central Valley, provides electric, irrigation and domestic water services. MID is an independent, publicly owned utility. We provide benefits that include community ownership, control by a locally elected Board of Directors and business operation on a not-for-profit basis. MID is committed to providing reliable service at the lowest co

st possible. MID's electric service area includes the greater Modesto area (north of the Tuolumne River), Waterford, Salida, Mountain House (Northwest of Tracy) and parts of Ripon, Escalon, Oakdale and Riverbank. Board of Directors:

MID continues to support restoring and enhancing habitat for native fish in the Lower Tuolumne 🐠

The Tuolumne River Partners have begun construction on the Powerhouse Riffles Restoration Project, a mainstem Tuolumne River restoration effort designed to improve spawning and rearing habitat for salmon and other native aquatic species.
