Whether you are a seasoned dancer or just getting started, this is a fun way to stay active, improve coordination and enjoy time with friends.💃🕺

Modesto Youth Commission Applications Now Open 2026–2028 📣

Now is your chance to get involved and make a difference in your community! Applications are currently being accepted for the 2026–2028 term for the Modesto Youth Commission. This is a great opportunity for youth to develop leadership skills, represent their peers, and help shape programs and initiatives in Modesto.

Beat the heat at Rec Swim!

Looking for a way to cool off this summer? Join us for Rec Swim at Davis High School Pool, offered Tuesday through Saturday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

As a reminder, children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. While our lifeguards are always watching the water and ready to respond in an emergency, parents and caregivers play the most important role in supervising their children and helping keep everyone safe.

Please note that Davis High School is currently undergoing construction. Pool access is available through the Rumble Road parking lot only.

We look forward to seeing you at the pool this summer!

Learn to swim this summer!

Swimming is more than a recreational activity—it’s an essential life skill. Swim lessons help children build confidence in and around the water, develop safer behaviors around pools and waterways, and gain skills that can help prevent drowning.

Session 2 of Swim Lessons begins June 22 and runs through July 2, with classes offered at:

💦 Beyer High School Pool: 1717 Sylvan Avenue
💦 Davis High School Pool: 1200 W Rumble Road
💦 Graceada Park Pool: 401 Needham Street
💦 Johansen High School Pool: 641 Norseman Drive
💦 Susan Burris Pool: 1325 Sonoma Avenue (located at Sonoma Elementary School)

Classes are available for a variety of ages and ability levels, from beginners to more advanced swimmers.
