Every leader starts somewhere. đź’›

Long before the titles and responsibilities, there was a child full of curiosity, imagination, and possibility.

At Child & Family Services, we see that potential every day in the children and families we serve. Early childhood education isn’t just about today. It’s about building the leaders, caregivers, and changemakers of tomorrow.

The children in our programs today are tomorrow’s community. They deserve every opportunity to thrive!

Meet Stacy Gomez, Community Health Navigator on the Mental Health Team with Child & Family Services. Today, Stacy is introducing the topic of childhood anxiety.

Anxiety can show up differently in young children who are still learning how to express their feelings. In today’s video, Stacy explains what childhood anxiety is and what it may look like in early learners. Supporting mental health early helps build a strong foundation for emotional well-being, learning, and healthy relationships as children grow. Awareness and early support can make a meaningful difference.

Parents are a child’s first and most important teachers, and our role is simply to support and encourage families. You know your child best, and we’re here to help however we can.

✨ In upcoming posts, Stacy will share tips and resources for families who may find this information helpful. We invite you to follow along and take what supports your family.

✨ Meet Our Mental Health Team! ✨

We’re kicking off our Mental Health Campaign by introducing the incredible team that supports our SCOE Child & Family Services families. 💚

Because just like early education, mental health starts early too, and the biggest growth happens between ages 0–5. These early years shape how children learn, explore, connect, and thrive.

Each week, our team will share helpful topics around emotional well-being, along with parent tips, insights, and local resources you can use right away.

We’re here to support YOU and your little one every step of the way.

👉 Stay tuned for our upcoming topics!

Your child’s mental health matters, and together, we can help them thrive. 🌱🧠
