It was an honor to once again partner with Stanislaus County Department of Child Support Services and First 5 Stanislaus for their Kids Connect Community Celebration at Modesto Junior College this month! πŸ’›

Thanks to another partnership with Second Harvest of the Greater Valley, we were able to give out 100 bags of food to families who stopped by.

1,200 grateful kids received a brand new backpack and school supplies. So many excitedly showed off their new backpacks when they stopped by our booth. These kids are ready for school, one step ahead, with the backpack and school supplies donated. βœοΈπŸŽ’πŸ“šπŸ–

Thank you to our partners and our community for bringing this event to life once again and impacting so many lives!

🌟Here’s how you can continue to make an impact:

Much thanks to our partners Health Net, LLC for providing 300 backpacks to support our community!

All students should have the opportunity to start the school year off right, but the expense of new school supplies can often be a challenge for many families.

That’s why we’re proud to partner with Health Net, LLC for their Initiative to distribute free new backpacks at community events like today's Kids Connect Community Celebration at Modesto Junior College to help students prepare for the upcoming school year.

Thank you, Health Net, for your commitment to supporting the state’s most vulnerable communities. Together, we can make sure that all students have the tools they need for a successful start to the school year.

Yes? No? Yes?! No?!🌼🀷
Do you know how to have the correct amount of tax withheld throughout the year?

Our friends at the IRS wanted us to share this with you!

To avoid a surprise next year, taxpayers should make changes now to their tax withholding. The Tax Withholding Estimator tool below can help taxpayers determine if their employer is withholding the right amount. Taxpayers can use the results from the Tax Withholding Estimator to complete a new Form W-4, Employee's Withholding Certificate, and submit it to their employer as soon as possible. Withholding takes place throughout the year, so it's better to take this step as soon as possible.

Contact your tax professional or Blanca Medina, here at United Way of Stanislaus County, with any questions or to get your taxes prepared for FREE! 209-718-7083
