Housing solutions start with listening to residents and understanding the needs of our community. Recent news coverage highlights Modesto’s commitment.
Through the City Council’s shared vision and collaboration with community partners, 240 affordable, supportive and transitional homes have been completed or advanced in and around District 2:
• 79 at Seventh Street Village for low-income individuals and families
• 48 at El Capitan for veterans and people with behavioral-health needs
• 42 at Dignity Village for adults experiencing homelessness
• 35 in the Vine Street communities for veterans, including seniors
• 14 at 1208 Ninth Street for young adults ages 18–25
• 8 at Kestrel Ridge for behavioral-health clients
• 7 at 112 James Street for formerly homeless individuals
• 7 at 835 California Avenue for families affected by serious mental illness
Different people have different needs. By continuing to listen and work together, we can create safe, stable housing and stronger neighborhoods.
