Blood supplies are critically low, and every donation can help save someone’s life.
The regional blood bank only has a single-day supply of O-positive and O-negative blood.

OneBlood officials announced a critical supply shortage of O-positive and O-negative blood, the two most frequently used blood types in emergency medical care. Regional representatives are urging citizens to donate immediately to replenish depleted reserves during the high-demand summer months.

Preparedness begins long before the emergency happens. Davie County EMS was proud to take part in this multi-agency grain bin rescue exercise to improve teamwork, communication, and rescue skills. These rare but serious incidents require practice so responders can work safely and effectively when every second counts. Thank you to everyone involved for making this training possible.
