As we close out the 2025–2026 school year, we’d like to showcase one of our favorite projects from this past year—a wonderful example of students helping students.

Carter Cornett, a student in Mr. Marrs’ Drafting Engineering class, went above and beyond the curriculum to design a custom solution for a student in need that isn't available on the market.

This mobile chair provides a safe and creative space for a student to decompress while at school. Using 3D modeling software, Carter designed the chair and used a laser cutter to create a scale prototype for proof of concept. Mr. Cartner’s Carpentry students then stepped in to help fabricate the final product. The "client" even chose the custom purple paint color for her new “Cadillac" painted by Mrs. Ledbetter's Visual Art classes.

We are so grateful to our industry partners for making this possible. Project materials were generously donated by Builders FirstSource of Clemmons, Lowe’s of Mocksville, and our Drafting Engineering class.

Congratulations, Sam!

Congratulations, Sam!

Mocksville Concrete would like to congratulate all of the 2026 Davie County High School graduates, and especially one of our own, Sam Sellers!

Sam joined us at the beginning of the 2025–2026 school year through the Career and Technical Education-Davie County Schools internship program. His hard work, dedication, and positive attitude quickly made an impact, leading him to become a full-time member of our team.

Watching Sam grow professionally and personally has been a privilege, and we are proud to have been a part of his journey. While today marks his last day as an employee of Mocksville Concrete, we are grateful for the contributions he has made to our company and excited to see what the future holds for him.

Congratulations, Sam! We wish you continued success in all your future endeavors. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your story. 🎉👏🎓
