📺💙 Join us for the Our City, Our Future Telethon on Wednesday, June 24 from 6 AM – 7 PM in partnership with WKRG News 5.

For one day, our community will come together to support local youth and help create brighter futures across South Alabama. Every donation helps provide safe spaces, caring mentors, academic support, workforce development opportunities, and life-changing programs for the young people we serve.

The first week of summer at the Sonny Callahan Club was one to remember! ☀️

Club members jumped right into STEM activities, art projects, summer reading, dance competitions, service projects, and even enjoyed a visit from Mobile’s Excelsior Band.

Every day brought something new, and it was great to see so many young people learning, laughing, and making the most of their summer.

Shoutout to Branch Director Nonnie Parker and the entire Sonny Callahan team for putting together such a fun and engaging first week. It’s going to be a great summer at the Club. 💙

A new chapter begins in Mt. Vernon. 💙

Yesterday, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of our new Mt. Vernon Club and an exciting new chapter for youth and families in the community.

Thanks to a $100,000 investment from ArcelorMittal Calvert, the Mt. Vernon Club will now operate as a year-round Boys & Girls Club, expanding access to mentorship, educational programs, and opportunities for local youth.

Congratulations to Bradley Craig on 30 years of service! As a School-Year P.E. Program Assistant at Bernard Malkove Club and Summer Site Supervisor for our Bishop State Program, Bradley has impacted generations of Club members through his dedication and leadership. 🎉

Congratulations to Gwen Leslie on 20 years of service! As Director of Accounting, Gwen works behind the scenes to ensure our organization continues to operate efficiently and effectively in support of the youth we serve. 🎉

☀️ Day 2 of Summer Programs!

Here’s a look at what’s happening at the Bernard Malkove Club today. Members spent time in the STEM Lab, explored technology, participated in group activities, and enjoyed time with friends while staying active and engaged.

Summer at the Club gives youth the opportunity to try new things, build relationships, and continue learning while school is out.

Our summer programs give youth and teens the opportunity to learn new skills, experience new things, build confidence, stay active, and stay engaged throughout the summer.

With Club locations across Mobile County, there's a place for every young person to learn, grow, and have fun this summer.

Summer Programs start Monday, and our staff is ready!

Over the past two days, team members from across our Clubs came together for training, team-building activities, and preparation for the summer ahead. Staff discussed ways to build positive relationships with Club members, help youth feel comfortable opening up, and create an environment where every child feels welcomed and supported.

There was plenty of learning, collaboration, and even a little friendly competition along the way as staff worked together and got to know one another better.

We’re excited to welcome our members back next week and kick off another great summer at the Club! ☀️💙
