Curbside Recycling Mobile County

Haven't posted in a long time, but this page was created to gather awareness for the potential for the city of mobile to add curbside recycling. If they added this, it would increase the chance for EVERYONE to recycle. Living in the city limits, there are only a few areas to drop off recycling. I've spoken to mayor Stimpson on this matter, and he says it's not fiscally possible.
I'm of course not familiar with the city's accounts and do not know how much it would cost, but if the city would consider this, there are facilities here in town, the Coca cola plant for one, who does do a buy back program of their own products.

Yes, some recycling can be 'costly', but done right it can help citizens and the city not only reduce waste but in the long run lower the waste in the citizens trash and possibly turn a profit, in years to come

Critics are concerned that recycling programs may cost cities too much, despite the environmental benefits and initial cost-effective business model.

If it's not 'fiscally possible' to do curbside recycling, why not tax the businesses here in town? We have a Coke a Cola distribution center, why not tax them for the plastics they distribute, when the recycling will benefit them in the long run?
