Skydive Moab has held 12 successful M.O.A.B.’s in a row

, and we think that the 13th will be the best one yet! Specialty jumps into beautiful red canyon landscapes along the Colorado River will make you wonder if the GPS accidentally put you out over Mars. Imagine seeing Moab’s red rocks, glowing at sunset, from altitude, on a cross country jump. Take in a ten minute canopy ride at sunset and see Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, the town of Moab, the Colorado River, and the La Sal Mountains.

Sorry this page hasn't been updated. Unfortunately the 2025 boogie is canceled. They are doing a ton of construction in our landing area and it is very tiny so it's not safe to have a bunch of visiting fun jumpers. Next year will be a lot better with our new hanger and landing area.

Welcome back for another year of good ole fashioned desert fun! The 2024 MOAB boogie is days away, so here’s some things you’ll want to know!

Firstly, registration for the boogie is $50 this year. Those that would like to pre-register can do so by going to www.skydivemoab.com and clicking on the top button in the center of the home page. If you’d rather pay at the door, that works too! Once you register, you will be issued a wristband that will allow you to manifest for jumps.

The DZ will open at 0700 every morning, the first load will go at 0800.

Make sure to fill out a fun jumper waiver! This can be done on the website (button below boogie registration) or you can do so when you arrive. Those that have jumped with us already this year do not need to fill out a new waiver. However, if you have jumped with us in previous years, that waiver is no longer valid.

Once you have registered, wavered up, got your goodie bag, had a gear check and a DZ briefing, head on over to manifest to pay for your jumps! Jumps will be paid for up front by putting money on your jump account at the beginning of the day (the funds will carry over to the next days as well). If you use up that money mid day, you’re welcome to put more on. If you end up leaving the boogie early or not using all of your jump money by the end, there will be a 3% fee for the amount that is refunded to you.

We have a super caravan and a PAC that will be running loads all day throughout the boogie. Manifest will be set up out front like usual for fun jumpers to build loads.

ORGANIZERS:

Belly: Ky Williams
Freefly/flocking: Nicholas Reyes
Freefly: Craig Jackson
Wingsuit: Joe Lohmuller
Wingsuit/yelling: Clark Robinson

OFFSITES: Thursday, Friday, and Sunday will be sending loads to Castle Valley and Mineral Bottom. Saturday will be Mineral Bottom only. Jump tickets for offsite are $75. Offsites will be manifested every morning starting at 0700 for that day. If you want to be on offsite jumps, make sure to show up before load one is sent and speak with manifest! If you pull off of an offsite jump for any reason, you will not be refunded for your slot. There will be 14 slots available for every offsite load.

HELICOPTER JUMPS: Voodoo Air is working with us to provide helicopter jumps at the DZ. The jump tickets are $120, and there is a minimum of 8 jumpers needed to send a load. If you want to jump out of the helicopter, it is up to you to gather seven other people to go with you. Manifest will not be building load sheets for these jumps. When you have eight people for a load, bring that list to manifest and they will take care of the rest.

Friday Night will have a catered pizza dinner from Canyon Pizza, a gourmet pizza joint in town. We will also be doing a raffle that afternoon.

Saturday night is a party in the desert, put together by Jason Moledzki. The DJ list is as follows:

Raja Ra 1900-2030
Beatrixx Kiddo 2030-2200
Jaymo 2200-2330
Kosmik 2330-0100
Di-Lon 0100-0230
Ximer 0230-0400
Not Sure 0400-0530
Cisco Amboy 0530-0700

Camping is the same place as usual: Down Blue Hills rd at the end of the runway. There will be portapotties out there all weekend. If you are camping on blue hills rd, please drive your car to the airport and enter the airport through the Skydive Moab gate. DO NOT jump the fence and walk over to the hangar, as you will incur a $10,000 fine for trespassing! If you need a shower, there are two of them at the DZ available. Please remember that you are not the only one showering in there, so do your best to clean up after yourself.

Apologies for the delayed info, we've had a busy year. Keith had a baby (he will be hanging out there at some point I'm sure), and lots has changed for us at the DZ so we're tackling things as they come.

Lastly, bring some stoke and have some fun! We look forward to a great weekend!!!!

Experience the thrill of a lifetime in a fun, safety-regulated environment. We offer budget-friendly jumps from 8,000ft and a maximum freefall altitude of 13,000ft.

Hello fellow experienced skydivers!
*2023 Boogie update*

-So after working on this special event permit process since May "a permit needed to bring more skydivers to my place of business" they finally gave it to me a week before the event is supposed to happen...

- Last year they never gave me the permit (with no reason) and threatened huge fines and shutting down my business if I had the event, so this year with the process dragging on and on, I had a feeling the same thing was going to happen. So I don't have a lot planned this year unfortunately... It has been a depressing ordeal trying to bring more skydivers to Moab for a fun weekend!

- So with little time to plan, here is what I have going on for the 14th-17th of September:

-Supervan ($25/jump holds 19ppl 13K AGL, 15 mins to altitude)
-Astar helicopter jumps ($100/jump holds 5ppl, 5k AGL)
-Off-site jumps (2 locations $85/jump C and D license)
-Free camping 5 mins from the airport with porta-potties. (1 shower at the DZ, first come first serve)
-Food truck on site for breakfast and lunch/dinner.
-A private skydiver get together Saturday evening at an undisclosed location
-No registration fee (I don't feel right about charging a fee for a half-assed planned boogie...)
-Limiting my tandem numbers for more slots for fun jumpers
-Good vibes and beautiful scenery.

I am very sorry for the late notice on this. For the third year in a row, this permitting process has hindered us from doing our normal boogie since 2004...

Hope to see you here

Much love,

Keith

Hey everyone,
Sorry for the long awaited update on the 2022 boogie.
Officially it is not a boogie (special event) I never received the special event permit from the city. So there will be no registration fee to come and jump for the weekend. Normal operations.

We have a twin otter coming in from SDAZ for the weekend.

We will be doing offsite jumps.
$28 DZ jumps. $85 offsite jumps.
Offsite jumps are C and D license only.

Trying to get this permit and waiting patiently after submitting all the required paperwork since May has been very taxing and emotionally draining. Sucked all the fun out of doing this event!

With trying to keep up with staffing throughout the season and still no permit, 3 weeks away, it is impossible to have a proper event.

We will have a Campground just outside the airport. Airplanes and off-site jumps.

Please understand this is not my choice and trying to do what I can with the help and resources I have available at the moment.

We have a few off-site jumps that we can do anytime if you cannot make it Sept 15-18th.

Thanks everyone
Blue Skies,

Keith

Hey everyone,
Boogie announcement,
We have been jumping 7 days a week since May 1st. We will continue to jump every day until Nov 15th. As covid has put a hold on many big events in Moab, this will not be a full-blown boogie.
Camping is always free on public lands. Food vending will be limited. Offsites will be happening.
We need to get a general idea of how many people were planning to come this year to determine bringing up the twin otter from AZ.
This is why the registration is only $25. Boogie goodies will be limited.

We have made registration easier than ever. Please be sure to sign the online waiver so you don’t have to do it at the gate. Waivers need to be filled out each year.
