Yesterday, Jerry Shue, Moab's beekeeper extraordinaire, introduced mentors and mentees to the world of apiculture! They got to taste nectar from the comb (it wasn't honey quite yet) and learn all about the inner life of hives. What better way to spend an afternoon in the Beehive State?! 🐝

As of this evening, kind donors raised $3,255 for One Day in May—surpassing our original $3,000 goal.

In Moab, mentoring relationships often last over 3 years—about five times longer than the national average.

That consistency is what helps young people feel supported, connected, and confident.

Most survivors of sexual violence don't call the police. They call someone they know. Will you know what to say?

When someone experiences sexual violence, the first person they tell isn't usually a professional. It’s a neighbor, a family member, or a friend. That first conversation can change the course of their entire healing journey. Join us this April 25th at 10 AM for our Start By Believing training. This is a free four hour workshop for all community members which provides a deeper look at the issue while equipping you with the practical tools to respond to and support survivors. During these four hours, we will cover the scope of the issue, root causes, the biological impact of trauma, and how to respond.

🤔 Did you know that Grand Area Mentoring has been a grantee of Grand County Education Foundation (GCEF) for years? This partnership has helped bring mentors to hundreds of deserving Moab youth!

🥰 Here's where you come in! GCEF gets a lot of funding from City Market's Community Rewards program. Card holders can choose a nonprofit they love to receive a portion of their purchases from every shop! So each time you buy at City Market, you send money to mentoring and other worthy causes in Moab.
