Town of Mize Mize is a municipality in southwestern Smith county MS and is governed by a Mayor and a Board of Alderman.

WATERMELON FESTIVAL:
The well known Mize MS Watermelon Festival is held in Mize city park, beside the lovely Clear Creek and is proudly sponsored by the Mize Volunteer Fire Department with help from the Smith County Extension Service.

April is National Library Month, so Friends of the MIZE Library hosted the mayor and the Board with tasty refreshments before the meeting tonight to celebrate National Library Week. The MIZE Library received a plaque for Branch of the Year Small Division and a certificate of award for increasing from three stars to four stars. The Library averages seventy-five visits a month. We greatly appreciate the MIZE Library and the Friends of the Library for all that they do.
