I’m currently employed at Insights Optical on Main Street and have more than 20 years of experience in office management, human resources, payroll, accounting, project management, and property management. I have associate degrees in business administration and accounting from Ivy Tech, along with a bachelor's degree from Indiana University Southeast in general studies and a minor in psychology. My work experience and education make me the ideal candidate to lead Mitchell.
Over the past 25 years, I have dedicated much of my time to making Mitchell a better place through volunteering and taking on various leadership roles. With a hand in everything from the Persimmon Festival Queen Contest to updating city ordinances, I have served as:
Current president of the Mitchell Community Library Board of Trustees, sitting on the
board for 12 years.
Member of Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for four
years, creating and implementing Trick or Treat on Main Street.
General Chairperson on the Persimmon Festival, Chair of the Queen Contest, Parade
Chair, and more.
General Chair for the Mitchell Memorial Playground Build.
Past member of the Zoning Appeals Board.
Past President and current member of the Mitchell City Council.
I am a fiscally responsible Republican who wants to see the city plan a conservative budget and manage the city's spending. Better utilizing the city's resources will create a brighter financial future for the city.

The Persimmon Festival Main Street events begin tonight. A big thank you to all of the volunteers that make this festival so special, the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce, the service groups and non profits, the City of Mitchell and the community. I’m looking forward to seeing the fine art exhibit at the Mitchell Community Public Library tonight.
