🎳 Join the Missoula Villages neighbor network for a relaxed bowling get-together at Westside Lanes this Thursday at 3pm. Dust off your bowling shoes or try something new. We have a few spots left--registration required through the Missoula Villages link in bio.

This FREE 😲 event offers chance to get out, move a little, and enjoy some good company. Come on your own or sign up with a friend. Public events sponsored by Missoula Villages are anchored in activities, but you’ll have time to mingle and chat with Village leaders and MAS staff about how the network for older Missoulians is evolving and your ideas. πŸ’‘πŸ₯°

A grassroots network to help neighbors care for neighbors. We connect residents in a volunteer exchange, with additional services available through partnership with local entities.

One of the most important ways we can prepare for the future is by listening to the people who know our communities best : our neighbors across Montana.

All Montana residents age 55 and older are invited to join a community survey for older Montanans, open online via the link in bio through July 10, 2026.

Please share widely!!! Broad participation ensures results reflect the diverse experiences, desires, and needs of residents across the state.

Paper copies are available through your local Area Agency on Aging and are due July 3, 2026.

The survey is an opportunity to share experiences, identify challenges, and help shape the future of the communities we call home. Please share your input on topics including housing, transportation, accessibility, employment and volunteer opportunities, health, and community services.

Missoula Aging Services on behalf of statewide Area Agencies on Aging is conducting the 2026 Community Assessment Survey for Older Adults (CASOA) in partnership with Polco, a nationally recognized civic engagement and research organization.

POV you now know the history of Missoula's most scandalous streets and alleys!

Thanks to Missoula Downtown's Unseen Missoula, and especially tour guide Dani Brown, hardy Missoula Villages members (and potential members) learned about the "Bricks & Brothels" our community is built on. The Downtown Missoula Partnership generously donated a portion of the tour cost.

The Missoula Villages neighbor network will continue to offer events like this to make it that much easier for older Missoulians to get out, try something new, and maybe meet a new friend. Follow the link in bio to learn about membership and to sign up for upcoming events!

Drop by our monthly Tech Cafe TOMORROW, June 1 from 1 to 3pm, where friendly volunteers can help troubleshoot problems on your phone or device, from login issues to identifying potential scams and more. We offer this FREE tech-help session for older Missoulians on the first Monday of every month at our offices.

AND!!! Thanks to a new partnership, we are offering a second Tech Cafe and Fraud Clinic this month at First Security Bank at their 1704 Dearborn location: Wednesday, June 17, 1-3pm. Volunteers from First Security will offer extra tips and help so that you can protect yourself from getting scammed and hacked and we'll be offering the same general troubleshooting that we provide at all Tech Cafes.

Our OG Tech Cafe has been packed and we hope that adding a new location will mean that even more folks can stop by so that we can help remove obstacles, engage more in technology-based necessities and opportunities, and help each other stay safe!

First Security Bank Missoula, we're feeling grateful for your commitment to strengthening our community! πŸ™

The 2026 Commuter Challenge with Missoula In Motion is complete, but MAS staff are still making smart, healthy commuting choices--that just happen to be more fun than driving solo too! Pictured here: Sumer Pellett, Resource Specialist, and Tammy Gates, Congregate Meal Program Coordinator, take turns driving to carpool into Missoula from their homes in the Bitterroot.

πŸ’ͺπŸ€œπŸ€› During the two week challenge, MAS staff racked up some impressive stats:
Participating staff members: 19
Trips: 201
Distance: 1,672.2 mi
Money Saved: $1,180.51
CO2 Savings: 1,279.4 lbs
Calories Burned: 52,150

Thanks to everyone out there making our community a more pleasant place to live, work, and play, all the orgs, businesses, and individuals logging, inspiring, and facilitating more sustainable workdays. πŸ₯°πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈβ€πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈβ€βž‘🚲🚎

We're getting bbq/potluck-ready at a series of Missoula Villages cooking classes in the Honeyberry Culinary Classroom at the Fairgrounds with Kelly Moore, MSU Extension educator.

This month we made cowboy caviar and took the recipe home to add to our rotation--it's a healthy, affordable dip that doubles as a bean salad and is endlessly adaptable. Add avocado! Spice it up with jalapeno! Add even more protein with feta!

Interested in adding to your potluck/party repertoire? We have two more classes coming up! Join us in June and/or July for a relaxed, hands-on cooking class where you'll prepare simple, delicious dishes that are great for sharing with others.

Free. Registration required; sign up via Missoula Villages link in bio. Each class session features different healthy recipes:
June 24 | 1–3 pm
July 13 | 1–3 pm

These classes are open to the public as a part of our Missoula Villages neighbor network. We're building this community with older Missoulians to make it easier to remain rooted in the community. It's a co-op, offering events and an easy, safe help exchange! Class participants will have a chance to chat with Village leaders, members, and MAS staff. Come cook and connect, and leave with something delicious!
