🇺🇸Housing Veterans: Serving Those Who Served

📰The Missoula Current will report a story monthly on a military veteran who has successfully achieved permanent housing, thanks to the City of Missoula's Built for Zero program and its collaborating partners in the Built for Zero Improvement Team. The City's goal for this grant-funded program is to achieve functional zero houselessness for veterans by Nov. 11, 2026. The Current's stories will wrap up on Nov. 11.

🏘This month's story focuses on a Missoula couple, William and Kimberly. William is a veteran of the U.S. Army who suffered a brain tumor, is unable to work and needed his wife to serve as his caretaker. Through Volunteers of America, a partner of the City of Missoula's Built for Zero program working to house homeless veterans and their families, the couple was able to secure a voucher to help with housing.

🤝You can help by donating to the Veteran Housing Fund at United Way of Missoula County: https://missoulaunitedway.org/donate
