"The Maker Manifesto:

Making is fundamental to what it means to be be human. We must make, create, and express ourselves to feel whole. There is something unique about making physical things. Things we make are like little pieces of us and seem to embody portions of our soul."

- The Maker Movement Manifesto by Mark Hatch

The MakerSpace is a place for everyone to create anything imaginable. Let's turn our imaginations into reality! We have classes focusing on electronics on the Arduino and Raspberry Pi platforms.

3D scanning and printing on a Makerbot Replicator 2 and a 3D Systems CubePro are available. Sewing and scrap-booking machines are available to those who wish to dabble in the more artistic endeavors. For the safety of the users and the equipment, students will first be taught to use the equipment, safety first!

The Missoula Public Library MakerSpace is here to provide the community with an environment that will foster the growth of technical skills focused primarily on STEM education. We hope that Missoula will view the MakerSpace as a hands on learning space that goes beyond what the traditional classroom has to offer. The MakerSpace is here to excite and inspire Missoulians to think outside the box by turning their imaginations into reality.
