Please mark your calendars and plan to attend a very special event on Monday December 19th at 7:30pm.

This past summer there was a medical emergency at the cub scout day camp. A man volunteering at the camp had a heart attack. 911 was called and Jay Skovlin (Cubmaster of Pack 4911) and Tony Hiquera (Cubmaster of Pack 4901) provided CPR until the ambulance arrived. Thanks to the decisive action of the volunteers, the safety planning of the camp administrators, and an on-site nurse, the gentleman survived.

BSA is awarding Jay and Tony a National Medal of Honor for their efforts. The nurse on duty at the camp, who lead the CPR effort, will also be honored at the ceremony.

The council is going to hold a court of honor at the Target Range school gym on Monday December 19th at 7:30pm. (I believe the event will last about 45 minutes.) This is a big deal and it would be really nice if we can all attend to show our support.
