On behalf of the faculty and staff at Evangelina Garza Elementary School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school’s website! Garza Elementary is very special place where everyone works together to provide an extraordinary educational experience for all students entrusted to our care. As we begin our fourth year as a school community, we look forward to working closely with you as we provide
a challenging educational program for our students. I encourage you to actively support and participate in your child's education as we seek to provide a positive learning environment for all of our students. Administrators and teachers everywhere recognize the important contributions parents make toward a child’s success in school. There is no question about it - success at school begins at home. We ask that you support your child by always keeping open lines of communication with the school and reinforce the skills and procedures established by the classroom teachers on a daily basis. Character development is an important goal at Garza Elementary. We are incorporating the Values First framework which promotes basic universal values. A specific Character Trait is focused on each month by our staff. Teachers integrate the traits into their curriculum through classroom discussions and various activities. At Garza Elementary, we are striving to provide technology access to all our students in the classrooms, the library and the computer lab. Our students will be using highly motivational education software across the core content areas. We believe that technology will allows our teachers to differentiate the curriculum for students so that we are better able to meet the needs of our students. We are very proud of our school and the commitment of everyone involved. We take great pride in our students and the community we serve. I'm proud to be your principal!
