Join us tomorrow for the first event of our Summer Reading Program, starting at 6pm to build a 3D T-Rex from a card kit printed from our very own 3D printer. Ages 12-18 only. While supplies last. Don't forget to join us the rest of the week for the rest of our events. Teen Summer Reading Program registration will remain open for the rest of the Summer!

📚✨ Our Adult Summer Reading Program officially starts Monday, June 1st! ✨📚
Make sure you’re registered so you don’t miss a single day of reading fun from June 1 – July 31. Two full months of great books, cool activities, and awesome prizes await!

Toddler time was an amazing program today we did the Y for yak and the letter Z for zebra. Don’t forget to come and register for our summer reading program if you haven’t done so it will start next week and toddler time is still in effect and we will start doing crafts on dinosaurs.

Join us, tomorrow at 6pm, for our Teen Animanga Club: Create Your Own Manga activity. Teens will be create their own manga stories using templates provided by us as they enjoy episodes of their favorite anime. We hope to see you here.🖌🖌

❗❗Attention ❗❗ Speer Memorial Library will be closed tomorrow, May 25th 2026 in observance of Memorial Day. We will resume regular operating hours Tuesday, May 26th. We wish you a safe and happy Memorial Day.

This week Teens practiced their artistic skills painting on wooden bookmarks in preparation for the Summer Reading Program. They illustrated their favorite books, manga, and pop culture fandoms. On Thursday, due to inclement weather our outdoor Fossil Scavenger Hunt was moved indoors and teens had to follow the clues leading them to each department to assemble a fossil T-Rex in order to promote our Summer Reading Program theme “Unearth a Story.” Thank you to all the teens that participated in this week’s events. We look forward to seeing you at our first event on June 1st at the kick off of our summer reading program.

🦖🦖Stop by the Teen Department tomorrow, 8:30am to register for our Summer Reading Program for ages 12-18. First ten registries will receive this book bag along with themed supplies to prepare you for the Summer. Don't forget to stop by our Children's and Reference departments for Adult and Children's registrations beginning at the same time. We look forward to "Unearthing a Story" with you! 📚📚🦖🦖
