In Helping Others - IHO

In Helping Others - IHO In Helping Others is a nonprofit agency providing a mentoring program for all U.S. veterans. EIN: 46-5493790

The program will form partnerships with local agencies and the Veterans Administration system. In Helping Others’ goal is to foster a commitment to Veterans that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future. Only through personal relationships can a sense of individual responsibility be reestablished that will give veterans the commit

ment to follow through and have a sense of pride and accomplishment. Many Veterans have encountered multiple failures and rejections with great endeavor to improve their quality of life through programs dedicated for Veterans from the Federal, State, and Local level. As a result, the individual can easily developed destructive habits that are at-risk for failure, and have lost faith in the possibilities that await them if they are successful in putting their lives together. To accomplish this goal, veterans must be in a caring, inclusive learning environment that promotes their best effort and reinforces personal respect. In Helping Others is a program that is in direct response to the growing number of veterans that is either falling through the cracks or are already entangled with self-destructive attitudes. The goal of the program is to identify veterans who are having a turbulent transition to civilian life and offer a positive support system to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives. The focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same;

“Empower the veteran to make positive changes in his/her life.”

We received our Articles of Incorporation in April 17, 2014, then in November 3, 2015 we received our tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Services (IRS).
