🚒 SMOKE ADVISORY – MIRAMAR FIRE RESCUE 🚒

No Active Threat to the Community

Miramar Fire Rescue is currently monitoring the ongoing fires in the Everglades. At this time, there is no threat to Miramar residents or property.
However, those living in the western most areas of Miramar may see or smell smoke, depending on wind direction throughout the day.

Health & Safety Tips:
• If you are sensitive to smoke, experiencing respiratory issues, or have conditions such as asthma, consider staying indoors.
• Keep windows and doors closed to limit outdoor air entering your home.
• Run your air conditioning on recirculate mode if possible.
• Avoid outdoor activities if you notice irritation from smoke.
• If you experience difficulty breathing, chest discomfort, or worsening symptoms, seek medical attention.

We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.

This April, we’re proud to highlight Rudy Valdes, who has dedicated 24 years of service to Miramar Fire Rescue. What Rudy loves most about his job is being productive, tackling tasks, staying busy, and seeing real results from his hard work. Outside of work, Rudy enjoys traveling, and one of his favorite destinations has been Spain.
We thank Rudy for his decades of hard work, commitment, and dedication to our team and community. Your contributions make a difference every single day!
