Neighbors, today we broke ground on a historic project years in the making — Miramar Cove.

Miramar, a decade ago, I shared a vision with the Ansin family to transform Red Road and Miramar Parkway into a true destination for our city. What began as an idea has now become a $1.5 billion investment that will create a vibrant downtown experience right here in Miramar.

Miramar Cove will bring housing, restaurants, entertainment, recreation, public spaces, a signature central cove, and unique attractions that will redefine Town Center and enhance quality of life for our residents.

This project represents persistence, partnership, and belief in what Miramar can become.

The future of Miramar is bright — and this is only the beginning.

We honor the men and women — both domestic and foreign — who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today. We also remember those whose valor and sacrifice in war were never fully recognized.

We honor their courage to defend democracy abroad while many still fought for civil rights and equality at home. Their collective sacrifice must be told, honored, preserved, and never erased.
