Through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) Urgent Need Generator Grant Program, Oscoda County Emergency Services is able to award portable generators into our community to support businesses who maintain critical operations during large-scale disasters—supporting not only their own facilities, but the broader Oscoda County community when needed.

Grant awards are based on:
✔️ Locally owned small business
✔️ In good standing with the local government
✔️ A brick-and-mortar business (must not be a residence)
✔️ Business must be able to supply at least one emergency need (food, water, fuel, equipment, hardware, point of distribution, warming or cooling, overnight shelter, community information center).
