Wow, what an amazing surprise in the mail today! We truly have the best supporters.

Thank you to everyone who gives whether financially or through in-kind donations. We know that times are tough right now, and when rising costs make it hard to put food on the table or gas in the car, giving can be a real sacrifice. We definitely felt those tight times with a drop in donations over the summer.

But God is so faithful, and He continuously moves through generous hearts! Over the past two weeks, we’ve seen a wonderful uptick in support, and we know His hand is all over it.

Whether you give monthly, occasionally, or just gave for the first time; thank you for supporting our shelter. While we respect our donors' privacy and desire to give all the glory to God, please know how deeply grateful we are for every single one of you!

Please note that this message was not sent by Lydia’s Gate staff. Despite having two-factor authentication in place, our email system was compromised. We are taking immediate steps to secure our accounts and prevent further unauthorized activity.

What You Should Do:

1) Do NOT click any links or open attachments in that email.

2) If you already clicked the link: We strongly recommend changing your email password immediately and checking your security settings.

3) Delete the email from your inbox.

♻️ Sometimes people don't realize just how seriously we take can donations! We actually have a whole operation managed by our current guests to ensure we maximize every single can donated in our drop off bin.

Recently, we were incredibly blessed by Kat King, one of our former directors, who donated her free time to give our can bins a massive upgrade! Kat streamlined our sorting bins, making them sturdier, more efficient, and all-around more aesthetically pleasing. ✨

Thank you, Kat, for updating our can garage! And a huge thank you to everyone in our community who drops off cans; your donations directly help us pay the bills and keep our mission moving forward!
