A Supreme Court term lasts ten years. Before North Dakotans make a decision with consequences that long, they deserve more than promises. Justice Tufte has already shown how he will do the job, in writing and in public.

Every opinion he's written is available for you to read online. You can read exactly how he reasons, how he treats the law, and how he explains his decisions to the people they affect. No promises, no slogans, a record you can actually check.

A ten-year choice deserves a record you can examine. Read it before you vote. Then keep proven judgment on the Court.

Few North Dakotans have served the law from as many angles as Jerod Tufte.

He served as a county prosecutor, standing up for victims and holding wrongdoers accountable. He represented small businesses and individuals in litigation, compliance, and transactional matters. He advised the Governor as legal counsel. He wore the uniform as a Judge Advocate in the North Dakota Army National Guard. He served as a district court judge, deciding cases at the trial level where the evidence is often messy and the stakes are personal. And since 2017, he's served as a Justice of the North Dakota Supreme Court.

That's not a record you build overnight. It's experience earned the hard way, one role, one case, one year at a time. And it's exactly the kind of seasoning you want in a person who sits on our state's highest court.

Ten years ago this November, North Dakotans asked Jerod Tufte to serve on our Supreme Court. This November, they will make a decision that lasts another ten years. We're asking you to keep him there.

In that time he's written over 400 opinions, led the courts to greater openness, and brought the same steady, disciplined approach to every case, the big ones that make headlines and the quiet ones that never do. That's the job. He's done it well. His record shows you he'll continue to be a judicial leader that we can trust.

This Labor Day, as we thank every North Dakotan whose work keeps this state running, we're heading into the final stretch of the campaign to re-elect Justice Tufte.

A little rain couldn’t stop Team Tufte at today’s Potato Bowl Parade in Grand Forks!

We had a great time seeing so many North Dakotans along the route. Thank you to everyone who waved, said hello, and braved the rain with us.

We’re always grateful for the opportunity to spend time in Grand Forks and be part of this great community tradition.

Even Chiff knows a good sign when he sees one! 🐴

Justice Jerod Tufte has spent his career serving North Dakota, from practicing law in rural Steele and serving as Kidder County State’s Attorney to helping strengthen access to justice across our state.

He understands the importance of keeping legal services available in rural communities and supporting programs that help recruit attorneys to serve small towns across North Dakota.

Proven. Principled. Prepared.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our recent Bismarck fundraiser such a successful evening.

We were honored to have Senator John and Mikey Hoeven, Senator Kevin and Kris Cramer, and Congresswoman Julie and Mike Fedorchak to serve as hosts.

We appreciate their confidence in Justice Jerod Tufte and the record he has built during nine years on the North Dakota Supreme Court. Their support reflects the qualities that matter in judicial service: experience, careful preparation, sound judgment, integrity, and respect for the rule of law.

North Dakotans elected Justice Tufte in 2016. Since then, he has approached the responsibility with independence and a commitment to applying the law fairly.

We are grateful to our hosts and supporters throughout North Dakota. Please join them in supporting Justice Jerod Tufte and voting to re-elect him to the North Dakota Supreme Court on November 3.

9 weeks.
9 years.
One clear choice.

Nine weeks from today, North Dakotans will vote in the general election. Among the choices on the ballot will be who serves on our state’s highest court.

For nine years, Justice Jerod Tufte has served on the North Dakota Supreme Court with experience, independence, and careful judgment. He approaches each case by studying the record, applying the law as written, and treating every person before the Court fairly.

The work of a Supreme Court justice does not always attract headlines, but it matters. The Court’s decisions affect the people involved, guide judges and attorneys throughout the state, and shape how North Dakota law is understood for years to come.

Experience matters in that work. So do preparation, consistency, and respect for the proper role of a judge.

On November 3, re-elect proven experience. Re-elect Justice Tufte.

Justice Tufte is committed to helping North Dakota’s courts use emerging technology responsibly and to educating the legal community about both its benefits and its risks.

Today, he presented a continuing legal education program to the Big Muddy Bar Association on generative AI and the law. He discussed the North Dakota Supreme Court’s recent AI-related decision, an administrative order, and practical methods for using AI while preserving accuracy, confidentiality, human judgment, and accountability.

Responsible innovation begins with understanding the technology, setting clear safeguards, and ensuring it serves the administration of justice.
