Scandinavian Heritage Park The Scandinavian Heritage Park, Minot, ND a beautiful place to visit to remember our heritage!

Buildings, statues and monuments that celebrate the heritage of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. A full-scale replica of the Gol Stave Church, a full-scale replica of a Norwegian stabbur (storehouse) a log house built in Norway in the 1770s, a fully-functional Finnish sauna, an original windmill built by a Danish immigrant, and a 27-foot tall Swedish Dala horse are found on a 14-acre

park. Other statues and monuments, and the Heritage House Museum add interest as well. Buildings are open during summer months from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend, as able by Volunteer staff.

In partnership with Pride Dairy, Bottineau ND, the Scandinavian Heritage Association will be selling their Oh! Stroopwafel Ice Cream Sandwiches at FREE 2026 Midsummer Festival. All proceeds support the Midsummer Festival.
Tonya Allard, one of Pride Dairy's owners, is of Icelandic descent, so look for the booth that is decked out in Icelandic decor!

Saturday, June 6 is Swedish Flag Day!
The Swedish Heritage Society will celebrate by flying the Swedish Flags at the Scandinavian Heritage Park. 9:00am flags will be put out followed by Fika (coffee) at the Nordic Pavillion. At 5:00pm, there will be a potluck dinner at the Nordic Pavilion. Everyone with an interest in Swedish culture is invited.

Peace and Honor Quilts of Valor is a nonprofit organization made up of volunteers who craft beautiful quilts to be presented to veterans. When a veteran receives a quilt, they are not just receiving a blanket - they are receiving a symbol of care, respect, and recognition. Every stitch represents time given freely. Every pattern reflects thoughtfulness. And every finished quilt carries with it the collective gratitude of a community that understands the value of service.

Quilts of Valor will do a quilt presentation to honor veterans during the FREE 2026 Midsummer Festival on Friday, June 19. Stay tuned for a full schedule.
