To provide a broad-based opportunity for the citizens of Minot and its visitors to enhance their quality of life through its parks and recreation

The Minot Park District is the unit of the Minot, North Dakota municipal government responsible for maintaining city parks. The District is managed by a board of five directors elected by city voters to four year terms. The district also serves as the local forestry service, trimming and planting trees across the city. Through its efforts, Minot became a Tree City USA in 1992.

🏊 The Minot Park District is excited to announce that Roosevelt Park Pool will officially open for the 2026 summer season on Friday, June 5.

Following a summer closure last year, the Minot Park District is eager to welcome patrons back to one of Minot’s favorite summer destinations.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome our patrons back to Roosevelt Park Pool after last summer’s disappointing closure,” said Elly DesLauriers, Executive Director of the Minot Park District. “Our staff has been working hard to prepare for the season, and we look forward to providing a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience for families and visitors all summer long.”

While many are still sleeping, the Souris Valley Golf Course crew is already hard at work making sure the course is in top shape for another great day on the links. ⛳️☀️

This morning, crews were out at sunrise preparing the course for the weekend, which includes mowing fairways, approaches, tees, and greens, rolling greens, raking bunkers, emptying garbage, and handling countless other details that keep the course looking its best all summer long.

Thank you to our dedicated maintenance staff for the early mornings, hard work, and pride they put into Souris Valley Golf Course each and every day! 👏
