April wrapped up another amazing season for volunteers at the Men's Winter Refuge. Pictured are some of the remarkable folks who participated in our Meal Train in April to provide meals for the residents of our men's homeless shelter. Thank you all so much .... the success stories of our shelter residents are also your success stories! Can't wait to see you all again (along with many new volunteers) in November!! πŸ™β€πŸ™β€

Did you know the Men's Winter Refuge transports more than 700 passengers each year to a local food pantry? We utilize our bus and volunteer drivers every Wednesday -- year-round -- to take folks to the Lord's Cupboard food pantry. Pick-up spots are Milton Young Tower and Henry Tower, and anyone is welcome to meet our bus at either spot for a free ride to and from the pantry. Each year for the past 8 years we have taken between 700 and 950 passengers to the pantry! Thank you so much to all of our incredibly generous donors for making this and all of our vital services possible!! β€πŸ™β€πŸ™β€πŸ™

Did you know the Men's Winter Refuge provides assistance to more than 1,500 individuals in need every year? In addition to our men's homeless shelter, we provide homeless prevention services such as free rides to a local food pantry, free men's clothing, and when funding is available we help with transportation assistance such as city bus passes and help with bus/train tickets for folks seeking help in another city. These people are amazing!! β€πŸ™β€πŸ™ Thank you so much to the staff and customers of Gate City Bank in Minot for making our men's homeless shelter the recipient of their Giving Hearts Day Food Drive! We received more than 300 items including food, hygiene items and cleaning supplies .... wow! 🀯 Thank you to Ellen Knutson for coordinating the drive, and to Gate City Bank for your continued support of the Men's Winter Refuge! πŸ™β€πŸ˜€

Thank you!! To everyone who helped us reach and surpass our Giving Hearts Day goal of $10,000 on Tuesday, we are so humbled and grateful! ❀❀ We finished the night with a total of $10,227! 🀯🀯 These funds will be used to fund all of our services, which include our men's homeless shelter and homeless prevention services such as free men's clothing, free rides to a local food pantry, and help with transportation costs for those in need. Thank you so much to all of our amazing donors, supporters and volunteers. Our success stories are also your success stories!! πŸ™πŸ˜€β€πŸ™πŸ˜€β€

A huge thanks to Dakota Supply Group of Minot for donating a large supply of backpacks for the residents of our men's homeless shelter! πŸ˜€πŸ™ Each backpack contains a pair of winter socks and a bag of hygiene supplies. A huge thanks to Minot Automotive for their wonderful donation to the Men's Winter Refuge on Thursday! We received a huge donation of laundry supplies, socks, underwear, hats and gloves collected by the employees of the dealership, along with a gift of $1,961.99 presented by Toyota.
